Motion Sensors at Work

In commercial buildings, such as the one you may work in, lighting accounts for 40% of electric energy used. So how can you conserve electricity at work? Well one way is to suggest the installation of motion and occupancy sensors in the low-traffic areas of your commercial building, such as hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and storage spaces. The next time you get an opportunity, make this suggestion to your employer. Remember, the installation of these sensors will lower the overhead costs of the company you work for, so the investment is indeed wise, and you'll be an office hero!
